Authentication for private status pages relies on external Identity Providers.

Note: Status.io Support does not have access to any information or logs from your Identity Provider.

Private page requirements

SSL must be configured before enabling private mode.

The custom domain cannot be modified while the status page is set to private mode.

Determining who to contact for help

A single user cannot access the status page

  1. Check the user’s access permissions within your Identity Provider.
  2. Contact the Support Team for your Identity Provider.

The private status page authentication was working, but now it’s not:

  1. Check for active incidents or maintenances on the status page for your Identity Provider. (Example: status.auth0.com)
  2. Contact the Support Team for your Identity Provider.

The private status page authentication has never worked:

  1. Check that the custom domain and SSL for the status page is properly configured.
  2. Check the Identity Provider settings in your Status.io account.
    • If any of the settings are incorrect: de-activate the private page and set up again using the correct Identity Provider settings.
    • If the settings are correct: contact the Support Team for your Identity Provider for assistance.

Disable access for a single user

For security reasons you may need to remove the access for a single user in your account. In this case, the user’s access must be disabled with the Identity Provider. Once the access is disabled, the user’s session will automatically expire for the status page within a maximum of 5 minutes.
